Vivien Jeffrey

VIVIEN JEFFERY (winner)
Vivien performed regularly as soloist with the Melbourne, Tasmanian and Sydney Symphony orchestras in recent years and was an ANAM Academy Musician in Melbourne where her teachers included Alice Waten, Caroline Henbest and Charmian Gadd.
She went overseas in 2007 to attend a summer school in Bad Leonfelden, Austria, then in 2008 to the United Kingdom for private lessons with various teachers, including David Takeno.

She has completed a post graduate course (Kuenstlerisch-Weiterbildendes) in Berlin studying with Antje Weithaas at the Hochschule fuer Musik "Hanns Eisler", and is currently working as a freelance

Sarita Kwok

SARITA KWOK
Having made her Australian debut at age 15 with the Sydney  Symphony Orchestra,  Sarita went on to win numerous national and international awards.

A founding member and first violinist of the Alianza String Quartet, she played a pivotal role in establishing it as an internationally renowned chamber music quartet.

Sarita has given soloist and collaborative recitals throughout the United States and Europe, performing on her 1736 J.F.Guidantus violin.

She received both Doctoral and Master of Musical Arts degrees from the Yale School of Music, where she continues to work in a variety of musical and educational roles.

Victoria Jacono-Gilmovich

VICTORIA JACONO-GILMOVICH
After beginning to play the violin at the age of 6, Victoria went on to achieve A-musA and L-mus-A  on both violin and viola, together with a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the Australian Institute of Music.

She won numerous awards and scholarships throughout Australia  and the International String Player of the Year award at the Gisborne International Music Competition in New Zealand.

Performing on her modern Italian violin made by Giuseppe Pellecani or her Australian viola made by Harry Vatilioutis, Victoria has played with numerous orchestras, sometimes as Concertmaster or soloist, in Japan, China, Hungary, Austria, the Czech and Slovak Republics and Spain. She continues to perform for numerous musical organisations and for a number of charitable groups.

Victoria is the violinist in the Strelitzia Trio, which won the prestigious Musica Viva chamber music prize in 2009 and has a concert series and an ABC Classic FM recording scheduled for 2010.

ALISON HEIKE
Alison Heike completed her Bachelor of Music degree with First Class Honours from the Australian Institute of Music in 2002 studying with Alice Waten. During this time she was 1st violinist of the Foveaux String Quartet, a finalist in the 2001 National Chamber Music Competition, and she participated in the Prussia Cove International Musicians' Seminar in Cornwall UK. In 2002 Alison travelled to London on a Big Brother Scholarship and undertook lessons with Felix Andrievsky at the Royal College of Music. In 2003 Alison participated in the Fellowship Program with the Sydney Symphony and has subsequently been working regularly with the SSO on a casual basis. Alison has also performed with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and in 2007 she joined the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra where she holds a full time contract. She also teaches violin at Prince Alfred College and plays in a string quartet which last year travelled to Singapore on board the Saga Rose cruise ship.
